Vice-Chair’s Message

Dear Lake Powell Friends & Allies,

I would like to thank all of our supporters and welcome new ones. More and more people are discovering how special Lake Powell is, and thus, our community is ever-growing. It stands to reason that our Lake Powell Community Alliance should be growing as well. We’re ready for you! If you’re newly settled and want to protect your environment and investment, or if you have loved our lake for a long time, I encourage you to join us in our mission to preserve our coveted natural resource.

In our most recent issue of Lake Waves, you will find a detailed recap of our 12th successful Lake Powell Cleanup -a big thank you to Norman Capra for compiling and sharing our data! Please see our list of cleanup donors and T-shirt sponsors. and support them within our community. We also included info on “Living with Black Bears”. Due to increased development in the area, bear encounters are now common in the neighborhood. Read Mary Jo’s bird report to hear of interesting avian encounters and then catch up with Captain Vince through his latest entry in our LakeWatch Log. We hope to hear from you in 2025. This is your invitation to help us in our initiative to educate, restore, plan, and partner for the preservation of Lake Powell.

Here’s to a happy, healthy 2025,
