The Lake Powell Community Alliance (LPCA) held its 14th annual Lake Powell cleanup on September 19, 2026. Over 90 volunteers from local neighborhoods and co-sponsoring organizations pitched in to clean the shore along Lake Powell, Camp Helen and the beach at Phillips Inlet. Our event, held on the 3rd Saturday of September, is timed so that we can participate with teams worldwide on International Coastal cleanup Day.
The Ocean Conservancy has sponsored this global cleanup event for 38 years. Several months after the cleanup, our contributions to the 2026 cleanup, down to the last piece of microplastic, will be reported on the Conservancy’s TIDES database, and Lake Powell teams will be listed among others with the numbers and weight of the trash items each team collected.
